Food Processing Machine Operator

A.  Job Summary Statement:

Food Processing Machine Operator position at Grissin Bon Ltd. is responsible for performing material handling, clean-up, packaging and other elemental activities related to food and beverage processing. The Food Processing Machine Operator also operates multi-function process control machinery and single-function machines to process and package food products.  Responsible for production, quality and food safety on line.

B.  Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Palletizing Area Duties

• Build pallets 
• Operate the pallet wrapper

Packaging Area Duties

• Monitor for quality issues
• Ensure bag date/lot code is correct and legible
• Gently load bags into boxes 

Raw Dough Area Duties

• Monitor dough for quality issues
• Adjust dough “streams” when needed

Cooked Inspection Area Duties:

• Monitor the line for quality issues

All Position Duties

• Observe HACCP requirements and highest food safety standards at work
• Clean and sanitize machines, work areas and equipment 
• All positions assist the supervisor with plant start up and shut down
• Other duties as assigned
• Check products to ensure conformance to company quality and food safety standards
• Clear machine blockages as required
• Check product quality and packaging “in-process” for basic quality defects

C.  Job Specifications—Skills and Competencies:

• Experience as a machine operator or a labourer in food or beverage processing is an advantage in this position

D.  Education and Training

• Completion of secondary school
• On-the-job training is provided
• HACCP Standards Experience/Certification preferred
