Material Handler/Forklift Operator

A.  Job Summary Statement:

Material Handler/Forklift Operator position at Grissin Bon Ltd. is responsible for performing material handling, clean-up, and some packaging and other elemental activities related to food and beverage processing. 

B.  Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Load, unload and move products and materials by hand or using counterbalance forklift and/or basic material handling equipment
• Move product onto and off moving trucks or vans, complete relevant paperwork
• Perform other material handling activities such as counting, weighing, sorting, packing and unpacking
• Operate equipment to transfer Flour or other materials from transportation vehicles to bins or other storage areas
• May perform other activities, such as opening containers and crates, filling warehouse orders, assisting in taking inventory and weighing and checking materials
• Other duties as assigned

• Ability to communicate effectively 
• Strong basic math skills

D.  Education and Training

• Completion of secondary school
• On-the-job training is provided
• HACCP Standards Experience/Certification preferred, but not required
• Some secondary school education may be required
• Physical strength is required for manual material handlers who work with heavy materials
• Counterbalance Certification
